When you arrive at New Chitose Airport, there are some choices to go to Sapporo.

I'll introduce you 2 ways to get there.

Going to Sapporo by bus

When you go to Sapporo by bus you can use Hokuto Kotsuu(北都交通) or Hokkaido Chuo Bus(北海道中央バス).

Hokuto Kotsu's ticket counter is in front of the arrival gate of  ANA, Air Do, Peach, Air Asia.

Hokkaido Chuo Bus's ticket counter is just in front of the arrival gate of JAL, SKY Mark, Fuji Dream.

How long does it take to Sapporo?

It takes 70-80 mins from New Chitose Airport to JR Sapporo station.

They are available from 8:40 to about 22:30. (From New Chitose Airport)

The last bus will be depart from Hokuto Kotsu around 22:30.

*The schedule might be changed by season, please go to the ticket counter first.

How much does it cost?

The transportation fee is 1,030 yen. (Both bus line)

You can sit down in the bus for sure and put your luggage

They stop by not only JR Sapporo sta but also to hotels such as KEIO Hotel, Sapporo Grand Hotel, Sapporo ANA Hotel, Royton.

Going to Sapporo by train

Using train is one of the best way to go to Sapporo sta from New Chitose Airport.

You'd better use "Rapid Airport".

This is the fastest way.

The ticket gate is directly connected to New Chitose Airport.

So you don't have to go outside.

How long does it take?

Rapid Airport takes just 37 mins from New Chitose Airport to JR Sapporo sta.

If you take local train, it takes about 1 hour.(6:56 - 7:48)

From 8:15 - 22:53 you can take "Rapid Airport".

How much does it cost?

It costs 1,070 yen for an adult, 530 yen for a kid.(under 12 years old)

To reserve your seat, it will be "+540 yen". It's called "U Seat".(Uシート)

You can buy tickets at automatic ticket vending machines.

Which is better?

Those 2 ways have each merits and demerits.

So you'd better think the best way by number of people, luggages, where to stay in Sapporo.
